The accounting process for the month begins on the first, where I verify and categorize the transactions from the previous month.
At this time, I confirm that the transactions are entered correctly, that they have the corresponding verification (such as a receipt), and that they are properly categorized.
I send a short list of anything I'm missing.
Once we're up and running, if Dext and MileIQ are providing all receipts and verification, I rarely need to reach out to you. But if I do, I will reach out by the fifth of the month, so you have some time to send info back to me. I expect it by the 10th, so I can provide your reports on time.

Once I receive all information, I'm off to the races - I finish managing the transactions, then I reconcile all accounts. Once that is done, we're ready for the next step - producing and sending the reports.
